A childhood you can hold. A family story you can pass on.

We didn't create EMENTA because we needed more photos. We created it because we were afraid of losing the stories behind them.

We are two families of three. Two moms. Two dads. Two sons.

We became friends first. And somewhere between shared dinners, conversations, family time and adventures, we discovered that although we travel very differently, we believe in the same thing: the greatest thing we can give our children isn't more stuff. It's a life full of experiences, stories and memories.

One of our families fell in love with the Arab world — beautiful resorts, incredible food, warm destinations and discovering new cultures together. The other chose the wilder side of the world — African safaris, waterfalls, jungles, diving with sharks and adventures far beyond the usual tourist path.

Different journeys. The same reason for taking them.

We want our sons to see how big, diverse and extraordinary the world really is. To meet people who live differently. To discover new cultures and traditions. To taste unfamiliar food. To experience nature. To become curious about the world beyond their own. And, hopefully, to carry those experiences with them for the rest of their lives.

Then we realized we had the same problem

We had captured almost everything. But preserved almost nothing.

Thousands upon thousands of photographs were scattered across our phones, computers, hard drives and cloud storage. The first family holiday. Birthdays. Little everyday moments. First adventures. Places we thought we would never forget. Moments that once felt unforgettable.

Every year, both families made the same promise: “This year, we're finally making our family photo book.” We imagined one beautiful book for every year — a chapter of our children's childhood, filled with the adventures, people and little moments that made that year ours.

And every year, life happened. Because once you have thousands of photos waiting to be sorted, selected, uploaded and organised, creating a photo book stops feeling like reliving your memories… and starts feeling like a project.

So we postponed it. Again. And again.

And somehow, seven years passed since our sons were born. Seven years of childhood. Seven years of adventures. Seven years of photographs waiting somewhere inside a phone or hard drive.

Our children were growing up faster than we were preserving their childhood.

That's why we created EMENTA Stories

We wanted something simpler. A way to build the story while life is actually happening, instead of trying to reconstruct an entire year months — or years — later.

A place where memories can be added little by little. By us. By our partners. By grandparents, family members, friends or anyone who was part of that memory.

So when the year ends, you don't face thousands of forgotten photos and an overwhelming project. Your story is already there. Waiting to become something you can hold in your hands.
